Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s largest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to customer demand for bigger manufacturing charges in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a excessive dry solids content material – medium consistency – is essential for processes within the pulp and paper trade.
In latest years, manufacturing charges have spiralled. As a outcome, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a buyer venture with record-breaking values.
The capability of the pump reaches as much as 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the circulate up to 940 l/s and the top up to 180 m. The MCE pump is designed for a pressure ranking of 25 bar.
Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC equipment at Sulzer, mentioned: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to operate efficiently, saving vitality, water and chemical costs in pulp and paper mill processes. The revolutionary design features of the pump minimise its life cycle prices.”
