The new Parque das Baleias (Whale Park) floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel which is heading to Brazil might be outfitted with Sulzer water injection pumps.

Sulzer will supply 4 packaged pump units, which embody a 9.7 MW motor, the 8-stage HPcp pump and all of the auxiliary equipment required for the difficult offshore surroundings.
Due to be positioned 77 km offshore from Espirito Santo, Brazil, the Whale Park FPSO will operate in 1,400 m deep waters, processing 100,000 barrels of oil and 5 million cubic metres of pure gas per day. First oil on deck is targeted by 2024.
Sulzer has a long-standing relationship with the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) firm involved within the challenge.
