Atlas Copco to amass Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from personal fairness firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a global gross sales and repair footprint. The company employs 265 people and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.4 million.

This acquisition will create a stable foundation for further progress in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired enterprise will turn out to be a half of the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is anticipated to be completed in the course of the second quarter of 2022 and is topic to regulatory approvals.
